2011 Strength and Conditioning Journal Editorial Award Winner
The National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA) and Strength and Conditioning Journal (SCJ) Editorial Board presents this award in recognition of service to the Association.
Dr. William J. Hanney, DPT, ATC, CSCS is a clinician, researcher and educator who currently serves as an instructor on physical therapy at the University of Central Florida. Dr. Hanney earned his undergraduate degree from the University of West Florida for studies in sports medicine/athletic training. He earned his Master’s and Doctoral degree of Physical Therapy from the University of St. Augustine for Health Sciences. He is currently a PhD candidate at Nova Southeastern University with research interests in identifying predictive variables for patients with neck pain likely to benefit from an exercise-based treatment program. Dr. Hanney is a manuscript reviewer for the SCJ as well as Physical Therapy Reviews. He also received the 2010 Young Investigator grant from the Orthopaedic section of the American Physical Therapy Association. Dr. Hanney has been a member of the NSCA since 1994.
